Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV®) is a therapeutic concept for the acute or chronic care patients displaying the typical symptoms of Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases. The major advantage for patients using IPV therapy, is the ability to perform his or her own percussive therapy on their own schedule. When the patient maintains control of their airway clearance program, this may reflect better overall respiratory therapy, thus decreasing the incidence of infections that would normally require hospitalization.
